a birthday quilt

I finally finished noah's birthday quilt.
Just in time for his 1st birthday.
I was inspired by Abbey over at Aesthetic Outburst.
I loved the bright colors and miss-matched fonts.
NBT's quilt is more neutral: a lot of grays to go with his room bedding.
I love how it came out. I hope he grows to love it too.

I made this cute little owl with the leftover fabric.
I followed this pattern but made my own skinny legs.

made it monday

In my last post I added a picture of a wreath I wanted to make for my house. I finally got around to it and am pretty pleased with the outcome!

My etsy shop has been doing pretty well for being a newbie. I have had a few custom orders that have been really fun to work on. Lately, my time has been spent preparing to go back to work: my kindergartners come in less than 2 weeks!

Pretty soon I hope to have a sneak peek of the soft baby book I am making for Noah Bean...

collection crazy

i am currently loving the blog a collection a day. this site is sure to satisfy anyone with ocd and the urge to be organized. i find myself wanting to create a rendition of the "t" collage for our dining room. and i know i have enough paint samples to create some sort of custom art. add it to the list.

lou + you

my etsy shop is up and running.

it is a little scary putting my creations out there for others to see. i hope the effort is worth the while. i have many more ideas of things i would like to add.. but i'm not getting ahead of myself.

if you know anyone with young kiddoes... or maybe looking for some custom artwork... holla atcha girl.

...........................

being a stay-at-home momma is such a blessing. i wish i could do it all year. i am so happy that i am able to watch noah grow and learn new things.

as of 5 months (technically 3.5...) he can roll over, almost sit up on his own, stand for really really really long periods of time, stand up holding on to something, smile, laugh, + "talk" by copying me or daddy.

He makes my heart gush + my cheeks hurt from smiling.
my love for him is truly endless.

and his hair is starting to turn brown too.

i win :)

I'm back!

After a 10 months hiatus (whooops), I've decided to get back into the blogging world. Mostly to share photos of the little man with family... but also to network as I begin to get my Etsy shop up and running.

As requested, here are the latest photos of NBT. He is 3 months old now and we can't believe it. He is really starting to become an active little guy. He can smile and coo and we love it. He also is so fidgety (like his old man) and can stand up and hop around for a decent amount of time. I think a "jumparoo" is on our purchase list soon.

3 months old!

Thanks for having me back. I hope you stay a while!
